Henrik Rybisnki hasn’t had much action in the playoff this season, but after an update from Todd Nelson, he may look to return to action the ice soon.

Nelson spoke to the media following Tuesday morning’s practice, and addressed a timetable for a potential Rybinski return, saying:

“Right now, like he’s skating, he’s day-to-day. So we’ll have to wait and see. He’s going to make the trip, so we can monitor him. If Ryby gets healthy, gives me a lot of options to think about.”

And Nelson is absolutely correct. In 60 regular season games this season, Rybinski scored 10 goals and added 25 assists, and he added an assist to his season Game 1 of the Atlantic Division semifinals series against Lehigh Valley. He also fired off two shots in Game 2, but did not play in Games 3-5.

Last season, Rybisnki scored five goals and added four assists in the playoffs, a pivotal piece of the journey to Hershey’s 13th Calder Cup. One of his five playoff goals last year came in Game 3 of the Calder Cup Finals series, on the road at Coachella Valley. He also had two goals and one assist in the up-and-down, seven game series with the Cleveland Monsters.

The 23-year-old will look to make his way back into the lineup in Hershey’s trip to Charlotte, where they’ll start the series with a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday night. The team will take a bus ride down to the Queen City on Wednesday.
